Following a
trip to the Big Easy post-Katrina, New Orleans became
my favorite city in the U.S. Comprised of days volunteering with Habitat for
Humanity and nights full of progressive full-course meals, it was evident that this is one of very few cities that continues to
have a culture of her own. Recently, The
Rebirth Brass Band blessed the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC and also served as the inspiration of
the food porn above, a fusion of shrimp étouffée and shrimp creole.
